Notes for Doris Helen RICHARDS
Doris was one of the first group of stewardesses trained in Canada, in the days when all stewardesses had to be nurses. Linda van Will has a publicity shot of her serving passengers. Doris was seriously injured in a car accident in 1947, and became a paraplegic.1

Major Balford, the Anglican priest in Warkworth, helped get Doris into nursing school. She was NOT a star student, but did well nursing.70
