BIRTH: His parentage and birthdate are confirmed with no place given.123
MARRIAGE: The place of his marriage to Phoebe is confirmed with the date given as ca 1802.123 The date of his marriage to Marintha is confirmed with no place given.82 However, it is difficult to see how he could be marrying Marintha in 1819 when Phoebe did not die until 1825.
He is also shown in one source as married to Eveline LAKE,82 whom another source shows as married to Barnabas KNAPP, son of Joseph KNAPP and Elizabeth NETTLETON.49 It does not appear from the dates that she could have been married to both. I have put her there for the moment.
CHILDREN: The confusion about his wives is reflected in confusion about his son Daniel. One source makes his mother Phoebe,87 while another says it is Marintha.29 |
