Notes for Drusilla RICHARDS
Drusilla bought the Richards farm for $2100 from John Bibby Richards's estate and Sarah Armstrong in about 1895 after John's death.11 Events are a bit murky thereafter--she ends up owning the west half; Eliza, Margaret and Mary end up with the east half; and somehow Harry and his wife own the north-east quarter (?!!). The property was all sold to N.D. Richards in 1903, with a life interest back to Eliza, Margaret and Drusilla the same year.11 Drusilla was president of Castleton Methodist Church Women's MissionarySociety in 1886.24
