NAME: Her first name(s) is/are also given as Charlotte, Charlotte Amable and Marie Josephe, and her last name as GERVAISE.109
BAPTISM: A note on the register entry is a little confusing; it reads: "Baptisée sous condition 'parce qu'elle ne put être à Ville-Marie'".109 My best guess is that the two halves of this are essentially unconnected. She had been provisionally baptized, which explains the "sous condition", and the formal baptism was conducted in Longue-Pointe instead of the parents' home parish of Montréal because for some reason they were unable to get there. |
