Research Notes

BIRTH: My main source shows her as Theobald's granddaughter rather than daughter--the daughter of his son Theobald and Alisa Capet.¹⁴⁹ However, this appears to be impossible given the dates--she's getting married before her mother is born. Sources seem to be equally divided on her parentage, and I haven't been able to find anything really authoritative. The source cited is representative of this side of the argument.
