Daniel was a Loyalist.7 He was living in the town of Waddington, St. Lawrence County, New York when he made his will on Jun 10, 1876 at age 86. He left each of sons Daniel, Alexander and William $100. He left his sister Margaret, if alive, $100 per year for three successive years, payable to her daughter Charlotte. He left a $300 trust for his daughter Christiana. He left Jane clothing, household furniture and books. He left his daughters Jane, Elizabeth, Margaret & Lucretia the remainder equally. The will was witnessed by Cyprian Powell and William M. Powell, both of Madrid, St. Lawrence County, NY. The executors were Daniel's daughter Jane Forbes and her husband John H. Rutherford.92 |
