Research Notes Notes for Elizabeth NETTLETON |
BIRTH: Other sources show Elizabeth as the daughter of Daniel NETTLETON (1769-?) and Deborah HURLBUT, with a birth year of 1769.29
However: "Deborah Hurlbut, is identified in the Hurlbut Family Genealogy (1888), as the daughter of Moses and Patience Hurlbut, but does not reflect a husand for her. In any event I believe Daniel and Deborah (Hurlbut) Nettleton should be ruled out as Elizabeth's parents, in view of Daniel Nettleton's birth year of 1769 and Deborah Hurlbut's birth year of c1775. If Elizabeth Nettleton, was born between 1769-1770, and the dates of birth for Daniel [b. 1769] and Deborah (Hurlbut) [b. c1775] Nettleton, as claimed, then no doubt she couldn't have been their daughter.
"Elizabeth Nettleton, has also been claimed as the daughter of Daniel (b.1740), and Phebe (?????) Nettleton (b. c1745), which on the surface appears to be the more correct."141 |
