One of Berenice's husbands was American. She lived in Kansas, NY, and Hawaii, and had a degree from the University of Hawaii. She had to give up her green card to come back to Canada and adopt Cybèle.360 Her Social Security Number is 514367208.184
Berenice taught at McGill University, and later in Daar es Salaam, Tanzania and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.358 She and Cybèle moved from Montréal to Daar es Salaam in 1973, and from 1973 to 1978 she taught English(?) at a technical college. In the summer of 1978 she and Cybèle returned to Peachland in Canada to the home of Berenice's brother Bud and mother Ida Mae. Berenice went to England for three months to study, returning in April 1979. In September of the same year, she and Cybèle moved to Saudi Arabia, where Berenice taught English at the University of Riyadh (now King Saud University). She was there until 1989. Then they returned to Canada, and Berenice bought a house in Kitchener ON, and later moved to Barrie ON, where Cybèle was in school. In 1994 Berenice went to China to teach English. While there, she was diagnosed with cancer, and returned to Canada (Vancouver).360 |
