BAPTISM: The entry was made by Francois Dolier (grand vicar of the bishopric of Québec) at the beginning of the entries for 1686. A note reads (in translation): "We, Francois Dolier, being asked by Jean Baptiste Lefevre to add his son to the register of baptisms performed, where he does not find him: The said Gervais Lefevre was baptized May 19, 1685 very late, because it was feared the child would die, and this was the reason for the omission to enter the baptism in the current register, having left it to enter the following day."109 |
