NAME: Her last name is also given as ALARD and as HALARE.109

BAPTISM: The register entry was made on Aug 17, 1749 by Father GERVAISE. It reads [in translation]: "Pierre ARCHAMBAULT and Pierre JOUBER have affirmed that on Feb 14, 1741 there was born a child of the legitimate marriage of Joseph Merry ALARD which child was brought the following day to the church to be baptized by Gosselin." It is unclear whether the witnesses listed are to the actual baptism, to the affirmation, or to both.109
