"Clifford Gordon Faragher
"FARAGHER - The death occurred at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital on Monday, September 18, 1989 of Mr. Clifford Gordon Faragher of 41 Federal Street, Kirkland Lake at the age of 65 years. Clifford had been a life-long Kirkland Lake resident and an Ontario Hydro employee for 36 years. He was a veteran of WWII having served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and had seen service in Canada, the United Kingdom and in Europe. Clifford was a member of Branch 87 the Royal Canadian Legion, the Ontario Hydro Quarter Century Club and was a former member of the Kirkland Lake Pipe Band. He was predeceased by his son Walter in 1977 and is survived by his wife Annette (nee Dubeau), at home; children James (and his friend Mary) of Thunder Bay and Anita (and her husband Jim Haine) of Kirkland Lake; his grandchildren Chris and Trina. Also surviving are his brothers and sister: Lillian (and her husband George Campbell) of Clinton, Arnold (and his wife Marj) of Matachewan, Lloyd (and his wife Violet) of New Liskeard and Albert (and his wife Jacqueline) of Matachewan; his aunts Mrs. Grace Merkley, Mrs. Viola Greer, Mrs. Thelma Hurd and his uncle Charles Greer. The family of the late Clifford Faragher will receive friends at the Symington and Monette Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, September 22, 1989 at 11 a.m. with Reverend David Bould officiating. Interment will follow in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. In Memoriam contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kidney Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged. There will be a Legion Memorial Service held on Thursday evening at 7:15 p.m."66
