| "I knew Effie Jones Steadman McKague had lived in Mpls with her first husband Charles Steadman and then married Winn in 1914. I found a Charles L Steadman in the directory through out the years. Then in 1911 he moved to one address and a Mrs. Effie M Steadman moved to another. I always assumed that the first husband died and she married her cousin but it appears they divorced. By 1920 he had moved out of state. There is no death certificate in the state of Mn for him. I also found this family in the 1900 census so I know it is Charles L and Effie M."232 |
