Mary was one of 7 children. The couple lived in Walnut Grove MN.444 Brian McKague has traced the HUNTINGTONs back to England in the 1400s, and a HUNTINGTON signed the Declaration of Independence.385 "I found an 'obituary' article entitled 'J.W. McKague's mother succumbs'. To paraphrase, it says she was born in Ontario on 11-02-1837. She moved with her parents to Lodi, Wisconsin in her early teens. Here she married Solon Perry. Five children were born, three boys and two girls. She then married Joseph McKague on June 15th 1871. ( Joe's obit said July) Three boys and two girls were born. Two boys survive, Winn McKague of Farmington and Roy McKague of Pierre South Dakota. She died 3-28-1931 at the age of 93 in Pierre So. Dak."438 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

NAME: Her first name(s) is/are also given as Mary227,441,243,245 and as Mary V.244 BIRTH: Mary's parentage is confirmed, with her birth given as 1838 in Wisconsin,443 and as 1838 with no place given.453 Mary is shown in the 1860 census as 22,441 in the 1870 census as 32,245 in the 1875 census as 38, born in Canada,244 in the 1880 census as 40, born in Wisconsin,239 in the 1885 census as 47, born in Canada,227 on the 1910 census as 72,454 and on the 1920 census as 82.455 The 1920 census entry for her son Win says Mary was born in Canada.456 CHILDREN: The 1865 census shows Charles PERRY, Edgar J. PERRY, and Ida PERRY.243 The 1870 census shows Charles 10, James 9 and William 3.
