Wellington was raised in Michigan, and moved to Boise ID.264 He does not appear with his parents on the 1861 census of Maryborough Township.182 In 1885, he was in Eden Precinct, Antelope Co. NE US. He was renting a farm valued at $1,200 with 45 tilled acres and 115 unimproved acres.506 In 1900 he was living in his father's home in Boulder Precinct, Township #12, Jefferson Co. MT.507 In 1901, he was living in Millerboro MT US.182 He appears to have been living in Marsing ID at father's death in 1924, as the informant is listed as W.A. McKague.262 Wellington never married. He took care of Isaac, and they are buried next to each other in Caldwell, Idaho.236
