Floyd and family were living in Minneapolis from 1901 or 1902 to 1906. His address in 1902 was 37th Avenue, northeast corner of Jackson St. (on the city border with Columbia Heights).449 In 1904 it was 3804 Jackson St., Columbia Heights.450 The 1905 directory shows Columbia Heights,451 and the family appears in the 1905 census for Columbia Heights, which states Floyd had been in Minnesota for four years, three months (census dates were June 2-17).460 1906 shows 3237 Longfellow Ave., Minneapolis.458 By 1907, Floyd had moved to Tacoma, Washington.232 In 1905, also living with the family were Bonabell's mother Nettie, her sister Bernice and her stepbrother Clarence.460 Floyd dropped the name McKAGUE shortly before Avon's birth and used WELLINGTON as a family name. This was because the law was looking for him and his brother Roy. It's believed they burned a house down in Walnut Grove MN for the insurance money.444 This is why Floyd went to Washington.385 He lived in Spokane WA.443
