Obituary, Feb. 8, 1997:
"BARRETTE - Mrs. Lucille (nee Dubeau) passed away on January 18, 1997 at the Lady Minto Hospital at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of the late Lionel Barrette. She is survived by four sons, Laurent (wife Rita), Rosaire, Marcel (wife Lucie) all of Cochrane, Gilles (wife Rita) of Eganville, six daughters Mrs. Marie-Ange Ruel, Alice (Mrs. Pierre Thivierge), Lise (Mrs. Alphonse deBlois) all of Cochrane, Eva (Mrs. Bert Blais) of Kapuskasing, Hélène (Mrs. André Vanier) of Espanola, Margo (Mrs. Léon Viau) of Marathon, one son-in-law Pat Murphy of Cochrane, one brother Donald Dubeau (wife Geneviève) of Latchford, seven sisters Jeanne (Mrs. William (Bill) Cook) of Timmins, Yollande (Mrs. Aurel Desforges) of Gatineau, Mrs. Fleurette Gauthier, of Kirkland Lake, Anita (Mrs. Roy Walker) of Sault Ste Marie, Mrs. Annette Faragher of Kirkland Lake, Mrs. Rachelle Larivière of Timmins, Aline (Mrs. Carmel Lacroix) of Aylmer Qué., one sister-in-law Mrs. Elsie Dubeau of Guelph, one brother-in-law Sévère Chartier of Timmins, twenty five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. SHe was predeceased by one daughter Blanche Murphy, one son-in-law Larry Ruel, one brother Ronald Dubeau, two sisters Cécile Lloyd, Marielle Chartier, four brothers-in-law Jeff Gauthier, Cliff Faragher, Reynald Larivière, Cliff Lloyd. Funeral services were held on January 20, 1997 at the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Fernand Villeneuve officiating. Interment will follow in the spring at the Cochrane Roman Catholic Cemetery. Funeral services were in the care of Maisons Funéraire [sic] Brisson Funeral Homes. Pallbearers were her grandsons Pierre Barrette, Daniel Thivierge, Marc Ruel, Alain deBlois, Greg Murphy, Luc Blais. In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation."11 |
