"When I was trying to find an article about Joe and Mary's wedding I found a short writeup that on July 10 1871 the Robert McKague and George Jones farms were hit by a big hail storm and 2/3 of their crop was lost."232
Robert took up a claim in Nebraska when Winfield and Isaac did.236 On Oct 10, 1879 R.L.McKague and wife sold their land in section 9, township 104, range 14 [Mower Co. MN US].237 In 1880, he was living in Antelope Co., Center Precinct, NE with Fanny and the 5 children.238,239 In 1885 they were in Eden Precinct, Antelope County.240 In 1900 he and Fanny were living in Creighton, Knox Co. NE; they are shown as married 44 years, and Fanny is said to be the mother of 6 children, of whom 5 are living.235 On a land transaction signed Dec 7, 1905, Robert T. McKague sold some land to his sons Amos and Fred, and he was then living in Buchanan Co. Missouri. He was also listed as single so Fanny must have died between 1900 and Dec 7, 1905.241,242 |
